A better epitaph
I read that Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria wants to erect a statue of the late pitcher Jose Fernandez in front of Marlin’s stadium. I’m wondering if Jose might have preferred Loria to use some of that money to help young people and build a smaller statue.
Wouldn’t scholarships, etc. be a better living legacy for him? Everyone will always remember Jose. He was a great baseball player. Putting the money to use helping others in his name is a better memorial.
