Too many people, cars

It was interesting to see the March 9 letter Too many cars, concerning traffic problems in Miami-Dade. The writer recognizes the root problem as being too many people and cars. I couldn’t agree more.

If memory serves me correctly, I recall a study done some years back to determine the maximum population that the county could sustain to allow a good quality of life. The number was 750,000. As of 2013, our population was 2.617 million or 3.49 times times the finding.

Developers and politicians keep telling us that we need to grow. Really?
