Bad rebuttal

Why did the Democrats have former Gov. Steve Beshear of Kentucky give their rebuttal to President Trump’s speech, Tuesday night.

Did they think Beshear’s folksy talk in a public setting would interest the same voters whom Trump had courted?

The governor wore an open shirt, in a restaurant setting.

He did not wear a suit, and the background was not attractive in any way.

The Democrats struck out with this rebuttal.
