On Tuesday afternoon, I tried to call the Washington, D.C., office of Sen. Mitch McConnell. It was 3 p.m. I was told, in a recording, that they do not take calls between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. and that the office is closed from 6 p.m. until 8:30 a.m.
Then, the recording said “Good-bye” and the call ended. I was not even given the option to leave a message. What kind of representation is that?
