Re the Dec. 9 article concerning South Miami Hospital’s agreement to pay $12 million to settle federal charges of healthcare fraud: It is an absolute travesty.
My late wife worked for South Miami Hospital as a nurse. She dedicated 32 years to that institution. If she were alive today, she would be totally flabbergasted that the medically unnecessary and costly procedures to treat irregular heartbeats at SMH were done with the “knowledge of top Baptist Health executives.”
Solution: Throw them all out!
