For a free Cuba
After reading Rosa María Payá’s eloquent Dec. 7 Opinion piece, “Let Cubans choose their own future,” I am reassured that Cuba will have strong leadership once it becomes a free nation. Payá’s article expresses the sentiments many feel.
It is now up to the international community to condemn Cuba’s human-rights violations and not look the other way while trying to be politically correct with the Castro government. Now is the time. Cuba has waited long enough for freedom.
