Columnist’s bias

The Nov. 13 column by Fabiola Santiago, “I thought America was better than that. My mistake,” was offensive. She wrote, “The rabid who voted for Trump, however, are still at it, drunk on hate.”

The millions of Americans who voted for Donald Trump are neither “rabid,” nor drunk on hate.

They simply exercised their right as citizens. Their votes were not based on hate, but probably on love. They love God, country and family, and most of them were basically making a difficult decision.

The Miami Herald is biased. I believe that columns like Santiago’s and the other writers who wrote before and after the elections were one of the reasons that Trump won.
