I read letter writer David Carlson’s comments about Sen. Ted Cruz. I’m not a fan, but Cruz qualifies to run for president even if he was born in Canada.
There is a big difference. By the way, I am not a so-called birther. Cruz was born in Canada. Anyone born outside the United States whose parents are American citizens becomes an American by virtue of the parents reporting the birth at the nearest American Embassy. A certificate is issued, and that’s it.
