While I enjoy the company of dogs as much as the next guy, I’m disturbed by a recent trend. People are bringing their dogs inside stores and restaurants on and around Lincoln Road mall.
When I informed the manager of a restaurant that it was unsanitary to allow animals inside, he agreed.
He then let me know that this particular dog was a “service” animal and he could not have it removed. (There was nothing visible that would signify it as a “service” animal).
As this restaurant offered plenty of outside seating I suggested that this is where these people should be dining. Again he agreed, but said that there was nothing he could do.
