Save the Pine Rocklands

I’m appalled at the CRA study for the Pine Rocklands near the Zoo Miami.

There were no environmentalists interviewed for the study, nor was there any consideration for the fact that pine rocklands are globally endangered.

In addition, the Florida Bonneted Bat, the Miami Tiger Beetle and certain butterflies could be made extinct from this development.

Yes, the blighted criteria was met by the standards, and there are areas of contamination that need to be cleaned up.

However, do we need to destroy natural wildlife for the sake of a Walmart?

The Miami-Dade County Commission will vote on this on March 3; all interested parties should show up and let their voices be heard.
