No electricity … again

For more than a year, I have experienced several power outages at my home. They are due, supposedly, to the malfunction of a transformer that serves four homes, including mine.

On the morning of Oct. 6, while making final preparations for Hurricane Matthew — and watching the news for information, power went out again.

I live in the Kendall area, where there was no wind or rain to speak of at that time. At 5:30 p.m. there still was no power.

FPL boasts about how much it cares and does for their consumers. It has been my experience that, as a monopoly, it actually does not.
