‘I’m just right’
I am 5’7” and weigh 147 pounds. I sure don’t think of myself as Miss Piggy, as Donald Trump described a Miss Universe. I eat three healthy meals and exercise.
Trump’s remarks reflect Americans’ unhealthy obsession and unrealistic expectations of thinness. It’s little wonder that anorexia and bulimia are commonplace among young people. They don’t realize that there are many body shapes and sizes, and that some of us just aren’t meant to weigh less than we do.
