Our friends and enemies

In my book, the real mess concerning the upcoming speech to Congress by the Israeli prime minister is just one more reflection of the disastrous foreign policy we have been conducting for years.

For, indeed, we have gone from George W. Bush’s wanton doctrine of forced, imposed democracy, to Hillary Clinton and President Obama’s sissy doctrine of be kind to your enemies and hostile to your friends.

This independent conservative longs for the Ronald Reagan days when enemies knew quite well what line they shouldn’t dare to cross, and friends could always count on our help.
