Take ownership

Electing a black president has not solved racial inequality in this country, it has just brought the problem to the forefront. The same might be said regarding gender inequality should we elect a woman president.

If the United States wants to be a beacon to the world, we must take ownership of the events playing out today. This generation has within its power the chance to control the course of the ship so that the next generation can truthfully say, we are one nation “indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
