False advertising?

We attended the Auto Show last weekend. It had been advertised in the Miami Herald, el Nuevo Herald and in TV ads as a “major” international show. To our dismay, 50 percent of the cars displayed were not 2017 models as expected.

A person working at one German auto display told us that the major manufacturers were not participating this year, and that some dealers were, in fact, showing some of their branded cars but not their entire lineup.

It was deceiving how the event’s organizers presented this show, which did not live up to expectations. The cost to attend this pseudo auto show was $15, along with another $15 in parking, not including tips.

Such a misrepresentation of the event was a disgrace to South Florida, which prides itself on hosting world-class events.
