Blind eyes
Re the Sept. 18 story “Police union opposes players’ anthem protest”: To the Broward Sheriff’s Office union boss and those who are so bothered by Colin Kaepernick and other players, which kneel during the National Anthem: Why is it that this quiet, peaceful protest is such an affront to your consciences?
Could it be that your comfort at a football game is more important than their discomfort in everyday life? Could it be that you have turned such a blind eye to this country’s ongoing history of racial injustices that you really have no clue as to why these athletes have decided that they can no longer do so?
