Celebrating school

Great news! Miami Dade County Public Schools are doing a wonderful job.

For a second year, I have returned to South Miami Senior as a volunteer. Two weeks into the school year, I have found dedicated teachers and interested students working together. The hallways are clean, the security staff alert and helpful, and the administrators seek the best for their “Cobra” students.

Yes, South Miami Senior is an exceptional place, but its excellence is typical of our public school system in general. We are fortunate to offer our youth the opportunities found in the school system. Let’s all remember to celebrate our hardworking educators.
