Play and protest

This is in reference to Steve from Hollywood and his “Open MIC” comment in the Herald about well-paid professional athletes protesting.

As an Air Force veteran, B-52 pilot, I served two tours flying combat missions in Vietnam. During an interview with a Time Magazine correspondent I was asked what I thought of the antiwar protesters in the U.S.

I explained to the reporter that one of the reasons we were there was to protect the rights of American citizens to protest, whether we agree with them or not.

U.S. citizens still have that right!
