Negative results

In the 2016 race for the White House what explanation can be given to the popularity of the eccentric Donald Trump, allowing him to be in first place in the polls among the Republicans?

In political terms we could say that Trump, and his way of speaking directly and with brutal honesty, has dared to highlight issues that politicians always avoid in order to prevent antagonizing certain sectors of society.

However, the use of sharpness and insults is neither decent nor appropriate.

As a Republican or independent candidate, despite his popularity, he could negatively impact the Republican Party in its efforts to reach the White House as did Ross Perot in the past.
