Re the May 28 article Vatican No. 2 denounces Ireland’s vote for same-sex marriage: The Vatican’s secretary of state and second-in-command to Pope Francis said that he was disappointed Ireland approved same-sex marriage, calling the referendum a “defeat for humanity.”

I wonder, what would this man call the Catholic Church’s child-sex scandals, a giant leap for mankind?
