Re the May 20 story “Shop owner sues after city demands 24/7 surveillance:” Since when can the police department take over a business and demand that business to put up surveillance cameras ... or else?
The drug trafficking the police allude to has never been inside the store.
The key here is that the business lies “across the street from quickly rising commercial buildings.”
The city is definitely trying to get the owner out and take her property. She and her son are right to sue.
