Events, services canceled due to Tropical Storm Erika

A number of events and city services have been canceled due to Tropical Storm Erika.

Miami

There will be no residential garbage and recycling pick up service on Monday. Regularly scheduled service will resume on Tuesday.

Metromover Brickell Loop will close at 10 p.m. Friday. A free shuttle bus service will be provided between all Metromover stations and the Brickell Loop from 10 p.m. until midnight. The Brickell Loop will reopen for regular service at 5 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015.

Miami Beach

Announced that South Pointe Pier will be closed Sunday. The city also said events and meetings at municipal facilities have been canceled for Sunday and Monday.

Digest Miami's Beach Feast, scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed until Sept. 19.

Key Biscayne

Big Float for Clean Water, an outdoor family event scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed and reschedule for Sept. 12. For more information, visit www.biscaynenaturecenter.org.

Boca Raton

The Lance BOLDS Skate with Nyjah Huston event, originally scheduled for Sunday at Drop In Action Sports Complex, has been postponed. A new date will be determined.
