Need FEMA assistance post-Irma? Better hurry as application deadline is coming fast
If you are still facing loss from Hurricane Irma, which barreled through Florida in September, and haven’t sough assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency your time is running out.
You have until 11:59 p.m. Friday to register for assistance from FEMA. You can also submit an application for a Small Business Administration (SBA) low-interest disaster loan but the deadline is the same.

How to register with FEMA
The deadline to apply for post-Hurricane Irma assistance is 11:59 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24.
You can go online at: DisasterAssistance.gov.
You can call the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362. If you are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability and use a TTY, call 800-462-7585. Help is available in many languages. Helpline numbers are open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. through the deadline Friday night.
You can download the FEMA Mobile App and apply.
Visit a Disaster Recovery Center. A list of centers s is available on the FEMA Mobile App, online at fema.gov/disaster-recovery-centers or call the FEMA Helpline.
