Hurricane Irma: 13th death confirmed in Florida
State officials late Wednesday confirmed a 13th death attributable to Hurricane Irma in Florida.
A Volusia County woman turned her generator on in her kitchen and then went to sleep, according to Gov. Rick Scott's office. She died shortly after.
Emergency response officials advise to never run generators indoors. Doing so can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning, among other hazards.
