It’s expected to get a little chilly this week, forecasters say, as a mini cold front makes its way through South Florida.

Temperatures will dip into the upper 60s Thursday night into Friday early morning, according to the National Weather Service. On Friday, highs will be in the upper 70s.

But before you take out your scarves — take out your umbrellas.

On Wednesday, experts say you can expect showers and a light breeze.

“This is a very quick one,” said Larry Kelly, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Miami. “You’ll definitely feel temperatures cool down and less humidity in the air, but it won’t be here a long time.”

Since the cold weather isn’t expected to stay long, make sure you’re willing to stay up late.

“If you want to feel the 60s, it’s going to have to be during the overnight hours of Thursday into Friday,” he said. “Once it passes through, we'll see temperatures go back to normal, which is basically around 85 degrees.”
