There’s another change in Miami weather. How warm will it get? What the forecast says
What happens now after the snow in North Florida and the 40s in Miami?
A week of warmth.
“This week we are back to normal, my friends,” said Miami Herald news partner CBS Miami meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez.
Monday’s forecast foretold the week ahead for South Florida.
“Highs will finally be back to normal in the mid- to upper-70s this afternoon, mainly dry, mostly sunny; warmer by the weekend with highs around 80 degrees,” Gonzalez said.
Morning and night lows through Wednesday will be in the 60s, according to the National Weather Service in Miami. Then the days will start out around 70 into the weekend.
Rain is not in the forecast for the week ahead.
Key West will be a bit milder, with highs expected to reach the mid- to upper-70s at peak later in the week under clear skies.
Pensacola, which saw nine inches of snow last week, will rebound to a range of low-50s mornings to highs in the 60s and 70 by Friday.
When will it be warmest?
The peak of heat for the Miami area should be 2 p.m. Saturday when Weather Underground forecasts 83 degrees. Miami Beach, with sea breezes acting as a coolant, should be 79 at that hour, according to the weather service’s hourly forecast graph.
