There’s a system that can turn into a tropical depression. Florida’s in the possible path
A weather system in the Atlantic Ocean has a 40% chance of becoming a tropical depression within the next week, the National Hurricane Center said.
The projected long term path of the system includes Florida, Cuba, Haiti and the Dominican Republic and other parts of the Caribbean.
Monday morning’s update from the hurricane center said the system near the Leeward Islands and Greater Antilles, “is expected to interact with an approaching tropical wave during the next couple of day s.. .a tropical depression could form later this week while the system is in the vicinity of the Greater Antilles or the Bahamas.”
Formation chance through 48 hours: Near zero.
Formation chance through seven days: 50%.
