Dozens of dramatic videos are popping up all over social media showing the extent of the heavy rains and flash flooding on Wednesday in Broward County.

Some are more shocking than others.

One man took a cellphone video in Fort Lauderdale, one of the areas that took a major beating.

On his Instagram Stories, local real estate pro Teddy Dowding shows his followers a widely shared clip of the terrifying situation at the garage at 200 S. Andrews Ave. in downtown Fort Lauderdale at around 10 p.m.

The knee-deep water gushes into the lot, causing ocean-like waves to form. Another man trudges through the filthy and soggy mess, pushing his dead electric scooter.

“I lost my shoe, man!” says Dowding, who also lost his brand new 1100 HP Shelby GT 500 Ford Mustang that he says he bought just three weeks ago.

Officials over at the Fort Lauderdale Beach publicity offices in the same building shared Dowding’s predicament, showing the stunning red car floating near a bank of elevators.

Social media users were duly concerned, with many just writing, “OMG” under Fort Lauderdale Beach’s post.

The $100,000 plus supercar, unfortunately, did not survive, Dowding adds in the comments.

“I’m so sad for the new Mustang,” wrote another. “We only just now finished cleaning our area and it’s still a hot mess.”

On Local 10’s Instagram page, which also included the crazy clip, a Dallas reporter named Kristin Diaz summed up what a lot of folks were likely thinking:

“What is this, Titanic!?!” referring to the 1997 Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet blockbuster that was inspired by the historic ship sinking on April 15, 1912. “I hope everyone is OK!”
