Yes, it’s cold outside. For us.

South Florida is feeling the chill Monday and will again on Tuesday. And that chill means low temperatures in the 50s, whipped up with breezes of 7-14 mph and wind gusts up to 25 mph.

And you know it’s a cold spell when the afternoon highs don’t even reach the 80s.

Expect mostly sunny skies and lower humidity, the National Weather Service says.

“It feels like winter, South Florida-style,” said Lissette Gonzalez, meteorologist for Miami Herald news partner CBS Miami.

But the chill in the air won’t be around for long.

Temperatures in the region will be “warming up” on Wednesday, with lows in the 60s and highs around 80, Gonzalez said in her forecast. Thursday will bring the low 80s and Friday will heat up to the mid-80s, she said.
