Will the cold continue in Miami? When will it warm up? What the forecast says
There’s still a chill in the air. But we’re warming up.
Say goodbye to the 40s and 50s. There’s change in the air.
Starting overnight into Wednesday morning, low temperatures will be in the 60s. And the days will be warming up, too, with highs in the mid- to upper 70s Tuesday and Wednesday before hitting 80 on Thursday and Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
“We’re starting to see temperatures rise,” CBS Miami meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez told viewers on Tuesday.
Tuesday morning, temperatures started out in the 50s in Miami-Dade and Broward, about five to eight degrees warmer than the past few days, when South Florida lows dipped into the low 40s. By late morning, temperatures will be in the 70s.
“That is a trend,” Gonzalez said.
This week’s weather forecast
And that trend calls for increasingly warmer weather through the week.
Forecasters at the weather service says the warming trend to “seasonal conditions” is thanks to a ridge of high pressure over the region.
One thing that will stay the same: the sun.
Just like the past few days with colder temperatures, forecasters say skies will be clear. Toward the end of the week, clouds and some rain could return.
