Enjoy your sunny, rain-free Wednesday, South Florida. Because after Hump Day, rain and humidity are back in the forecast.

The forecast calls for for a 30% to 50% chance of rain Thursday through Friday in Miami-Dade, with a 30% to 60% chance of rain in Broward County, according to the National Weather Service in Miami.

Forecasters expect to see new rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch in Miami-Dade and between a tenth and quarter of an inch in Broward Thursday, with higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

“Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible late this week along sea or gulf breezes during the day or over the Gulf Stream during the overnight hours. The stronger storms may produce strong gusty winds, heavy rainfall, and lightning,” according to the weather service hazardous weather outlook.

While the weather might not be ideal for the start of Passover and Good Friday, forecasters expect it will be a bit drier this weekend.

There’s a 30% chance of rain Saturday and Sunday in Miami-Dade, with Broward’s chances going up to 40% Sunday, according to the weather service. Forecasters say the rain will likely start in the afternoon, so consider having your kids search for the Easter Bunny’s eggs in the morning.

Forecast for the beach, Disney and the Keys

If you’re planning to spend the weekend in the Keys, the weather is forecast to be pretty good, with a 10% to 20% chance of rain Friday. Rain chances lower to 10% Saturday and Sunday.

Planning a beach trip?

Besides a chance of rain, keep in mind that there’s a high risk of rip currents along Atlantic beaches Wednesday, with an elevated risk of rip currents through the rest of the workweek.

“Some gradual and modest improvement will be possible as the onshore flow begins to decrease going into the upcoming weekend,” according to the hazardous weather outlook.

If you’re planning a road trip to Disney or Universal Studios, think about taking an umbrella or a raincoat. The forecast is calling for a 40% chance of rain Saturday in Orlando, with a 50% chance of rain Sunday.
