Are the sunny skies deceiving you? South Florida looking to get a break for all this rain

South Florida weather is mostly taking a break from the relentless thunderstorms that have flooded the region the past few days.

The sun is peeking out. And you may be able to spend some time outside without fear of getting soaked.

The National Weather Service forecast shows a mostly sunny day with fewer showers and thunderstorms than the rest of the week.

The chance of rain is 20 percent, mostly after 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

However, areas of Miami-Dade County that are still flooded from previous rainfall could be affected by scattered afternoon showers.

Meteorologists advised people to avoid walking or driving through flood waters and immediately move to higher ground.
