A comfy Black Friday could soon get really mellow as another cold front is coming
Black Friday got off to “a cool, comfortable morning” with temperatures in the 60s in Miami-Dade and Broward and low 70s in the Florida Keys, according to CBS4 meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez.
Shoppers, or those lucky enough to be off work who venture outside, will find it’ll remain comfy — South Florida-style comfy, anyway — with highs only reaching 80, Gonzalez said.
Same for Bradenton and the Tampa Bay area where today’s high should be about 79 degrees with a low of 59, according to the National Weather Service.
But an approaching cold front will make it a mellow Monday night in South Florida, with lows around 56 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Miami. Tuesday’s high will only be 69 degrees.
It’ll be even chillier in Bradenton, with a Monday low of 48 degrees that’ll just inch up to a 53 degree low Tuesday night before a little warming trend.
Rain isn’t in the forecast through at least Tuesday for much of Florida, save a 50% chance in Orlando Sunday night and 60% in Gainesville and Jacksonville. Temperatures there will also be cooler in the work week in the upper 30s as lows. Expect highs in the 60s.
Still not bad for outdoor activities. Just have sweaters and jackets handy.
And be mindful that “there is a moderate risk of rip currents along the east coast beaches of South Florida today” and in the Orlando area, too, according to the National Weather Service.
