The Northwest 17th Avenue drawbridge over the Miami River became operational again Thursday afternoon after being stuck in the raised position around noon Thursday.

Though the Juneteenth holiday relieved the usual traffic congestion around the drawbridge connecting south Allapattah and north Little Havana, this would’ve been a problem had it not been fixed by the time game traffic gets tight for the 6:40 p.m. Philadelphia Phillies at Miami Marlins at loanDepot Park.

Any street closings or raised drawbridges on game days can complicate getting to the stadium or getting home for area residents..
