A man has died after falling off his motorcycle and being run over by a tractor-trailer on the Palmetto Expressway—causing major traffic delays, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The deadly crash has shut down the westbound and southbound lanes of the Palmetto Expressway from Northwest 67th Avenue around the Big Curve to Northwest 154th Street during Tuesday’s morning rush hour, according to FHP.

Around 5:40 a.m. a motorcyclist was traveling west on the Palmetto Expressway in the area of Northwest 67th Avenue when he lost control and fell off his bike, according to FHP. The man—who has not been identified— was killed by an oncoming tractor trailer.

Florida traffic cameras show all traffic is being forced to exit, causing major delays. Drivers should use I-75, Miami Gardens Drive, Northwest 57th Avenue, or the Gratigny Parkway as alternate routes.
