Drivers can now leave Miami Beach on the MacArthur Causeway after a morning rush hour crash caused major traffic jams, with lanes completely shut down.

Traffic cams show backups and debris scattered where the crash occurred. Eastbound lanes are closed between Fountain Street and Alton Road, while westbound lanes have since reopened.

Two people were injured and taken to Ryder Trauma Center, according to Miami Herald news partner CBS Miami.

There is still heavy residual traffic in the area and drivers are advised to use the I-195/Julia Tuttle or Venetian Causeways.
