President Donald Trump’s long weekend in South Florida ends Wednesday, but his final day could affect your traffic commute in the afternoon and evening.

Trump departed Mar-a-Lago around 8:30 a.m. for Palm Beach International Airport en route to Miami International Airport for a jaunt to his Trump National Doral Miami resort where he is spending much of the day.

The morning rush hour delays around Northwest 87th Avenue between 36th and 58th streets and around Northwest 41st Street between Northwest 87th and 97th avenues were just a prelude to another two sets of delays during rush hour at the end of your workday.

Trump is in Miami-Dade County for an appearance at the Future Investment Initiative Institute Priority Summit conference at the Faena Hotel Miami Beach on 32nd and Collins Avenue to discuss global issues. His speech is scheduled for 5 p.m.

The White House doesn’t release a president’s exact route. But based on his schedule and what officials are saying, here’s a guide to help you avoid some of the traffic jams.

Miami Beach parking and route

There will be intermittent and extended road closings by Miami Beach police near the Faena, 3201 Collins Ave., between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. Miami-Dade Transit warned riders that Metrobus routes servicing Miami Beach and the downtown Miami area could experience delays Wednesday due to the traffic surrounding the presidential visit.

The police department urges drivers to “plan accordingly” and use the MacArthur Causeway or the 79th Street Causeway.

Leaving Doral: The White House said the president should depart Trump National Doral Miami around 4 p.m. for a 30-minute drive to the Faena. That’s 30 minutes if you’re the president. Your drive, even on a good day, could bust from 40 minutes to nearly an hour.

On the way to Miami Beach: The alert from police suggests that Trump’s motorcade will likely whisk him from Doral to the Faena via 36th Street to the Airport Expressway (State Road 112) to the I-I95/Miami Beach exit. This would take him to the Julia Tuttle Causeway to head into Miami Beach at 41st Street/Arthur Godfrey Road and then east and south to the hotel at 3201 Collins for the conference.

Miami Beach parking ban: Parking will not be allowed from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m on Collins Avenue and Indian Creek Drive from 30th to 41st streets — including all side streets, according to Miami Beach police. The P56 parking lot at 3401 Collins Ave. near the conference site and the P57 parking lot at 3501 Collins Ave. will be closed all of Wednesday.

Trump participates in the FII Priority event at 5 p.m. for about an hour, the White House said.

Leaving Miami Beach: President Trump is scheduled to return to Miami International Airport between 6:15 and 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. Expect delays on either State Road 112 or 836 depending on which side of the airport his aircraft awaits him before he flies back from MIA on Air Force One on his return to the White House.

Likely route to MIA: The fastest way for the president to get to his jet by car would be to head out from the Faena and take I-I95, the Tuttle, west to the Airport Expressway (State Road 112) to MIA, which is just over 10 miles from the hotel. Expect further congestion around Northwest 21st Street or 36th Street as he approaches the airport.

What’s Trump doing aboard Air Force One? In case you’re curious what the president does during the flight home from an pit-of-town event, Trump plans to sign executive orders while in the air around 7:30 p.m., according to the White House. He’s scheduled to arrive at Joint Base Andrews at 8:50 p.m. and arrive on the South Lawn of the White House at 9:10 p.m.
