A crash had part of Florida’s Turnpike in Miami-Dade shut down as rush hour began

A crash involving at least two cars had northbound lanes on Florida’s Turnpike shut down in North Miami-Dade as Thursday morning rush hour starts.

The crash happened around 2 a.m. on the turnpike extension, where the highway actually runs east and west, just east of Northwest 57th Avenue, Red Road. The road was opened up before 10 a.m.
