Dolphin Expressway westbound lanes reopen after crash by Miami International Airport

Several westbound lanes of the Dolphin Expressway have reopened following a crash near Miami International Airport on Thursday morning, authorities say.

The crash was first reported around 8 a.m. near the Palmetto Expressway (State Road 826) interchange, closing down three lanes, according to fl511.com. At least two Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to the scene at the Dolphin Expressway (State Road 836).

Traffic was backed up on both the eastbound and westbound lanes to Le Jeune Road, but it subsided as lanes were reopened.
