Traffic alert: Northbound lanes shut down on turnpike after serious crash in Broward
A serious crash shut down a northbound stretch of Florida’s Turnpike in Broward County during rush hour, which caused a long line of stopped cars and frustrated drivers.
Around 2:40 p.m., a crash blocked the turnpike’s northbound lanes before Exit 58, near Sunrise Boulevard. Traffic is backed up for a few miles, Florida 511 reported.
A few hours later, the roadway was reopened to traffic.
It is unclear the severity of the crash.
