A multi-car crash killed one person and shut down Interstate 95 in North Miami-Dade before Miami Gardens Drive for almost eight hours Sunday morning and early afternoon.

The rollover crash involved three cars, according to Florida Highway Patrol: a black Tesla sedan, a black Chevrolet sedan and a blue Jeep pickup truck.

FHP said the Jeep flipped over “several times,” fatally tossing one of the passengers onto the grassy shoulder. The other three people in the Jeep were taken to Aventura Hospital.
