Traffic alert: Hit-and-run closes part of a major Miami-Dade street during rush hour
Drivers who use Northwest 103rd Street around Miami Dade College North Campus, especially coming east out of Hialeah, should find a different route Thursday morning after a hit-and-run crash.
Miami-Dade police say a pedestrian was sent to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center hospital in critical condition after a 3:45 a.m. hit-and-run at Northwest 103rd Street and 32nd Avenue. The street closures are for the investigation of what become a traffic homicide.
WSVN-Channel 7’s traffic helicopter showed 103rd Street closed from Northwest 30th to 32nd avenues for westbound traffic and Northwest 35th to 32nd avenues for eastbound traffic just over the bridge coming out of Hialeah.
Use Northwest 119th Street as an alternate route.
This will be updated as more is learned.
