Traffic alert: Truck rollover affecting traffic on the Dolphin and Palmetto Expressways
A rollover crash on the ramp from the westbound Dolphin Expressway to the northbound Palmetto Expressway has the ramp closed.
The crash happened around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday. A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue hazmat unit is among the seven units on the scene.
If you’re heading west on State Road 836 and planned on taking the usual route to swing onto State Road 826 north, depending on your final destination, you’ll want to slide off to Northwest 72nd Avenue and go to Northwest 87th Avenue.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a tractor trailer “failed to negotiate the curve properly causing it to lose control and collide into the guardrail. The collision caused the tractor trailer to overturn, causing the container to separate from the trailer.
“The container fell onto the grassy embankment area.”
