Traffic alert: Miami highway lanes closing for work. What to know about the changes
Driving in Miami is tough even when all the highway lanes are open. It’s tougher this week with shutdowns along several stretches.
Remember to plan your trip based on the roadwork schedule and to follow detours.
What to know about what’s ahead:
State Road 836/Dolphin Expressway
NW 57th Avenue: Up to three lanes on eastbound State Road 836/Dolphin Expressway at Northwest 57th Avenue will be closed for tolling maintenance from 11 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, to 5 a.m. Thursday, April 27.
I-95 to NW 17th Avenue: Up to two lanes of westbound State Road 836 from Interstate 95 to Northwest17th Avenue will be closed “as needed” between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. through Friday, April 28.
I-95 ramp: The eastbound Dolphin Expressway ramp to southbound I-95 will be closed “as needed” between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. through Friday, April 28.
Florida’s Turnpike
Westbound access to 836: Overnight full closing of westbound SR 836/Dolphin Expressway at Florida’s Turnpike through Thursday, April 27. Drivers should follow detours signs.
State Road 836 through NW 106th Street: Northbound and southbound lane closings on Florida’s Turnpike between the Dolphin Expressway and Northwest 106th Street through Thursday, April 27.
NW 12th Street ramp: Overnight ramp shutdown through Thursday, April 27 on Florida’s Turnpike exit ramp to Northwest 12th Street (Exit 27).
NW 74th Street ramps: Overnight ramp shutdown through Thursday, April 27 on Florida’s Turnpike entrance and exit ramps at Northwest 74th Street.
