An SUV driver crossed train tracks in front of a freight train and the resulting collision killed the driver and closed Pembroke Road’s side west of Interstate 95 as Wednesday morning’s rush hour began.

The crash happened around 2:45 a.m., Hollywood police said.

Pembroke Road westbound reopened just before 8 a.m. But, this still affected Tri-Rail, which announced there would be a shuttle bus between the Golden Glades and Hollywood Boulevard stations for passengers in both directions.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
