Traffic alert: Police reopen Brickell Bridge to vehicles in downtown Miami

One of the bridges that connects Brickell to downtown Miami was reopened after being shut down for around five hours, Miami police said Wednesday.

The Brickell Bridge and Brickell Avenue from Southeast Fifth to Seventh streets were closed to vehicles starting around 9:15 a.m.

At around 2:15 p.m., the bridge was reopened.

“We have reopened Brickell Avenue/Brickell Bridge after the incident came to a positive resolution,” police said in a tweet. “Traffic is flowing slowly.”

Authorities didn’t release additional information.
