If driving through downtown Fort Lauderdale is part of your commute, make extra time for detours and increased traffic this week.

U.S. 1 from Southeast Seventh to Second streets, including the Henry E. Kinney Tunnel under the New River, will be closed around the clock until 5 p.m. Friday for “concrete wall pour operations.” The stretch and the tunnel were closed Monday morning.
