An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was reportedly struck by a Tri-Rail train in Opa-locka early Tuesday.

TV news video shows police near the railroad tracks in the area of Northwest 22nd Avenue at Ali Baba Avenue.

Tri-Rail says a northbound train reported a strike. The commuter service said police are in the area searching for a pedestrian or evidence of a strike.

There are 58 passengers on board the train, who are waiting to get the OK to exit. Tri-Rail says it will run a shuttle bus between the Golden Glades and Opa-locka stations while the train is stalled.

Drivers should avoid the area and seek other routes.

This bulletin will be updated.
