A crash has shut down a stretch of Florida’s Turnpike in the Boca Raton area to Broward County during Monday’s morning rush hour.
The “multi-vehicle” crash happened on the southbound lanes of the turnpike beyond Exit 75: Glades Road/SR-808, in Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, according to Florida 511. All lanes in the area are closed. Traffic is backed up to Mile Marker 79.
Drivers should avoid the area and seek alternate routes, such as Interstate 95.
