Traffic alert: FPL truck crash closes stretch of Sunrise Boulevard in both directions

A crash involving an overturned FPL truck has shut down a stretch of Sunrise Boulevard in both directions during Fort Lauderdale’s Thursday morning rush hour.

Helicopter news video shows the Florida Power & Light truck on its side.

Fort Lauderdale police said officers responded around 7 a.m. to the crash, which involved the FPL truck and a tow truck. Police said no one was injured.

The crash has Sunrise Boulevard from Northwest 15th to 16th avenues closed in both directions.

Drivers should expect delays and seek alternate routes.
